Planning Division

The City of Walnut Planning Division is primarily responsible for implementing the goals and objectives of the General Plan, which serves as a comprehensive strategy for the physical development of the community, and the Zoning Code and various other Ordinances related to the use and development of property within the City. The Planning Division processes development applications and subdivisions to ensure that they adhere to all applicable City Codes and standards, and comply with applicable regional authorities and State law, including the California Environmental Quality Act. 

Whether you are planning to build or modify your home or business, or purchase or sell property, you will need to work with the Planning Division before you proceed.
