Human Resources
Administrative Services oversees the Human Resources division. This includes employee recruitment and retention efforts, benefit administration, labor relations, personnel rules and regulations, training, development and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, safety, and workers' compensation.
The City of Walnut employs 41 full-time employees working in a wide range of fields including administration, finance, planning, code enforcement, public works, recreation and more. Full-time, permanent part-time, and seasonal part-time positions exist for people of various ages and levels of education.

Salary Information
Department Directors do not have contracts.
The Walnut City Council stipends are as follows:
City Council $300 per month;
Walnut Housing Authority $50 per meeting.
