Human Resources

The City Manager’s Office oversees the Human Resources division. This includes employee recruitment and retention efforts, benefit administration, personnel review, labor relations, personnel rules and regulations, and salary adjustments.

The City of Walnut employs approximately 37 full-time employees working in a wide range of fields including administration, finance, planning, code enforcement, public works, recreation and more. Full-time, permanent part-time, and seasonal part-time positions exist for people of various ages and levels of education.

The Walnut City Council stipends are as follows:
City Council $300 per month;
Walnut Housing Authority $50 per meeting.
