Sheriff's Department

The Walnut Sheriff's Station serves the cities of Walnut, Diamond Bar, and unincorporated areas of Rowland Heights and Covina. The Sheriff's personnel provide a number of programs and services to keep Walnut a safe community. Programs serving Walnut include Bike Patrol, Volunteers on Patrol, Neighborhood Watch, and Substance Abuse Narcotics Education to name a few. Volunteers on Patrol

The City of Walnut and the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station is looking for community members to volunteer for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Volunteers on Patrol(PDF, 171KB).

To become a VOP, you need to be 18 years of age or older, not be convicted of a felony crime, have a valid California driver’s license and must also undergo a background investigation. VOPs work at least 16 hours per month and attend regularly scheduled meetings.

Business Security Assessment Survey & Form

In partnership with the City of Walnut, LASD is proud to offer local businesses a free business security assessment.

To participate, local business owners are invited to fill out the Business Security Assessment Survey.

If you would like a Deputy to go over the results of the survey, please provide your contact information at the end and our liaison will reach back out to you.

Business owners are also encouraged to fill out the Business Emergency Contact Information form(PDF, 58KB). This ensures the local Sheriff's station has up-to-date contact information in case of an emergency at your business.
