2026 City of Walnut “Walnut Through My Eyes” Student Art Contest Form 

Contest Rules: 

  • Artwork must be the student’s own original creation 

  • No digital art, photography, tracing, or reproductions 

  • Must be created on white 8.5’’ x 11’’ paper (standard letter size) 

  • Do not include copyrighted images 

  • Each student may submit one (1) entry only (no late or incomplete entries) 

  • Must be a K-12 student residing in Walnut 

  • Submitted artwork must be appropriate for public display in a government facility.

  • The City reserves the right to decline or remove any submissions that raises safety concerns

  • Artwork containing political messaging, violence, provocative material, religious advocacy, or other content deemed inappropriate by the City will not be accepted

  • Clearly write on the back of the artwork: 

    Student's Full Name 
    Grade level and School 
    Parent/guardian Contact Information 
    Address/Proof of Walnut Residency

Option 3: Front Desk 

Awards 

  • Top 3, Runner-Ups, and Honorable Mentions will be featured in the Vejar Room at Walnut City Hall and receive certificates at a future Walnut City Council Meeting 

  • All entries will be presented at the 2026 Walnut Lunar New Year Celebration 

  • First Place will receive two (2) tickets to the 2026 Taste of Walnut 

  • Second Place will receive a $50 art supply gift card
