Parks

The City of Walnut Parks system includes eleven parks with over 90 acres of maintained facilities. The convenient location of the parks allows residents to have a recreational area near their neighborhood to enjoy a picnic, celebrate a birthday party or just relax with family or friends. Per the Walnut Municipal Code - Title 3, Chapter 3.48 (14),
Park hours are 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Walnut residents may reserve Snow Creek, Creekside, Lemon Creek, or Suzanne Park by visiting the Parks and Recreation department at least one week in advance. Please note: Walnut residents are those who live within the municipal boundaries of the City, not those who just have a "Walnut" postal code. The City's southern boundary is the north side of Valley Boulevard.

Reservations include tables and grills and are on a first come, first served basis. The City does not allow moon bounces or carnival rides in the park. Reservations of 150 or more must be approved by the Parks and Recreation Commission and should be made at least four weeks in advance. Parks may not be reserved for major holidays.

Help Keep Our Parks Clean

In the past, the parks have experienced damage to their facilities by vandals. The City of Walnut is asking residents to report any suspicious activity to the Sheriff's Department at (909) 595-2264. The City also offers a reward of up to $500 for information that leads to the conviction of an individual found guilty of damaging City facilities.

In addition, the City of Walnut would like to remind visitors to pick up after their dogs . Per the Los Angeles County Code of Ordinances:

"A person who owns or has custody of a dog (except a visually-impaired person with a guide dog) is required to remove the dog's feces immediately from public property or private property not owned or possessed by the owner or custodian of the dog. The dog's feces must be disposed of in a sanitary manner. A violation of this section is an infraction punishable by a fine of up to $100."
