Camp Crawdad

Monday through Thursday from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., Children ages 6 to 12 are invited to spend the morning at the park. There will be tons of activities which include arts and crafts, sports and much more. Crawdad is divided into two 5 week sessions.

Session 1: June 1, 2026 - July 2, 2026.
Session 2: July 6, 2026 - August 6, 2026.

Locations:
Mondays & Wednesdays at Lemon Creek Park.
Tuesdays & Thursdays at Suzanne Park.

There is a $200 participation fee per child, per session, or you can register for each week individually, for $50 per child, per week. One excursion per session will be available for an additional fee of $50 per excursion. Excursion registration takes place separately, and in person, on the first day of each session. Each participant will receive one camp T-shirt for the summer. Additional camp T-shirts will be available for purchase pending availability. There will be no camp on Fridays, holidays, or rainy days.

Resident Registration begins April 20, 2026.
Non-Resident registration begins April 27, 2026.

All camp registration must be done in person, at the Walnut Senior Center or the Walnut Gymnasium. Proof of residency is required.

Camp Movin’ N Groovin’

Keep their bodies and minds moving all summer long! Camp Movin’ N’ Groovin’ takes excitement along with fun-filled enrichment experiences to create a totally awesome summer! Each week find something new with a variety of specialized themed activities and one excursion weekly. This full day program is divided into two components: Movin' All Day and In the Groove. Drop off and pick up will take place at the Walnut Teen Center. Camp is appropriate for youth and teens ages 7 to 14.

General Camp Daily Schedule
From 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M., campers will enjoy arts and crafts, indoor games, and interactive group activities.
From 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., campers will walk to Suzanne Park as a group, where they will have snacks, participate in more interactive group games, eat lunch, and enjoy free play.
From 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., campers will return to the Teen Center for additional group games and activities, followed by indoor free play to end the day.
Weekly detailed activity schedules will be provided the Monday of each camp week.

Excursions take place on Wednesdays each week and are included in the weekly registration fee.
